About the Founder.

Mark Cowie is a professional locksmith and security specialist with hands-on experience in residential and commercial property security.

KeySpot® was developed after seeing visible key safes repeatedly targeted and exploited — creating theft, damage, and safeguarding concerns. That real-world experience shaped the product’s purpose: enable secure property access without advertising vulnerability.

With support from the University of Sunderland and ongoing engagement with industry and certification pathways, the concept has progressed from idea to working prototype and ongoing development.
